If your going cross eyed then I think you have the wrong glasses. Should be left eye red, right eye cyan. You may still find it hard to relax and look through the monitor, but once you get it the effect is like being in the scene.

With offset 15 it's easier for that initial stage of getting used to it, but it's like looking on a small scene just behind your monitor, rather than being in the scene.
