I reinstalled both Glidos (1.41 and then 1.44 over it) and TR.  When I chose Start Program, a VDos32 box appeared, indicating "Unimplemented out0336h".  So I went to Adjust and disabled VDos32.  The game starts, but with two problems:  (1) the spinning Glidos logo; (2) although the music plays, there are no sounds with Laura's actions (gunfire, etc.).  I tried setting up the sound in TR Setup.exe, but that did nothing.

Re: TR Startup Error PromptThis morning, before I read your email, I tried
installing Glidos 1.44 again. Surprisingly, it said it installed. However,
when I start the game on the Glide Server, and Tomb Raider opens, the
huge Glidos sign just keeps revolving on the screen. The game ignores
the Escape button, so I have to left click to close it in the system tray, and
then it shows a Read Failure box. Evidently the new version isn't accepting
the old unlock code.

No problem with the Glidos logo: I can easily give you more unlocks, but ignoring Escape is a bit strange. Reinstalling from scratch both Glidos and TR might be a good idea (keeping your savegames safe of course).
