My system specs are as follows,

  1. Asus A7V133 mboard
  2. Elsa Gladiac (Geforce 2 GTS)
  3. Labtec Xwave 4000 sound
  4. 256mb ram cls2 133
  5. AMD t-bird 1.2 gig

After a fresh install of Win98 (nonSE) but upgraded via WindowsUpdate, I installed TombRaiderI and then Glidos version 1.5, I believe. I then switched the default tomb.exe with Dracman's executable for Glidos according to his website. I ran the Tombraider setup for soundcard and selected plain, ol' s'blaster. I started the game via Glidos and chose 1280x1024. The game started up and ran great, until I got to the Vilcamba level where icicles and vines litter the scenery. These hanging textures looked liked brown, hanging banners with the vine or ice texture painted on. I was stumped at first until I hit the F4 key! After this...Voila!... everything appeared as it should. The game runs fantastically now, although escaping to the menu ring shows a gray background and I can't get rid of it, but this is a non-issue for me as the actual game looks great!

So, the only real issue I have is that the powersaver kicks in and turns off the monitor, but that's easily corrected by moving the mouse. And I've had a few instances where the sound goes into a machine gun noise that can only be corrected by exiting the game. But I doubt that has anything to do with Glidos. Other than that, Glidos is a godsend!

Thank you,
Mr. Paul Gardiner
