Paul.

I would like to apologize to take so long to answer your question.

About your last question, actually there is something in the server window: "Pipe creation failed 2".

Also, Disabling Full Screen didn't help.

Remember Paul that windows XP seems to use the same engine as windows NT 2000. If glidos runs in windows NT 2000 then I bet it'll run in XP.

(I found some interesting patches to make Tomb III,IV e V to run in windows nt 2000 at http://www.cubeit.com/ctimes/ and all of them worked with XP.)

While I was navigating around Tomb Raiders sites I realized that only a few people knows about Glidos. Nevertheless I find Glidos the best way to run TRI. I would like to see Eidos/Core developers when they put a hand on Glidos. They will certainly say that they had left a chance to earn more money with a game already done if they had had Glidos idea first.

Glidos 1.6 runs as smooth as 1.5 in windows 98SE.
Tested with TRI(all game was run), TRIGold(all game was run), with Asus 7700 GeForce 2 GTS Asus drivers 12.90, 14.30beta3 and the new nVidia 21.81 driver.

I finally finished all levels of Tomb Raider I with Glidos

1.5 and it
was

a great experience. Congratulations again.
Glad you enjoyed it. Did you play the "Unfinished Business" levels too?

Well, I've just finished the first level. Until now, everything runs OK.

I'm just playing them again (well I was, and then MYST III arrived.).

I have recently installed Windows XP as a second Operating system

(dual

boot to Windows 98 SE).

Do you see any chances to run Glidos inside XP ? It seems

that XP has
a

nice Dos emulator. I could

run Tomb Raider without Glidos (original mode without video

acceleration)

and tried with Glidos but

it only showed me the first screen (saying Core Design).

Well that's the first hurdle: if it runs in software mode then there's a
chance. The next thing is for me to get hold of a copy of XP, and to

find

the time to write the extra bits of code. Could be a while.
When you started the server, was there any error messages in the window?

No, it showed the first screen with the inscription EIDOS INTERACTIVE and

then

next the screen became black. I switched to desktop view and aborted the

game.
So nothing in the server window, besides the usual "Starting Glide Server
v1.5 © Paul Gardiner 2001" ?
It may be worth unchecking "fullscreen" and trying again.
