I'm running Tomb Raider in Glidos 1.44. Everything works great except for when I adjust any of the user controls, then the game freezes. |

A while ago I added True3D support to Glidos, but it worked only on Zalman monitors, which I can imagine people haven't rushed out to buy just for the sake of using Glidos. |

I don't get to play games often, and I sat on Tomb Raider 1 for a very long time. When I finally went to play it in recent weeks, I downloaded Glidos, VDOS and all of that. |

Glidos 1.39 won't play mp3 tracks
I've been using Glidos 1.38 with texture and audio packs with no problems. Yesterday I installed audio pack 1.6, Glidos 1.39 and the upgraded tomb.exe. I started the game and the menu no longer had musical accompanyment plus all the background sounds are missing in the game. I reinstalled Glidos 1.38 and everything worked again. my pc is a pentium 4 2.8Ghz. Asus p4c800deluxe motherboard, 1Gbyte ram, Gforce 7800gs agp with 256 mb ram, Creative Audigy 2. |

Glidos unlock key on a laptop
Hi, I have a laptop PC that runs Glidos and Tomb Raider just fine while locked, with the spinning logo displaying. The PC has an internal hardware modem that is never connected to the internet, PC is only used to play games. Will a key purchased from your unlock service (and downloaded by a different PC) be able to unlock this type of setup? |

Glidos' shadow hack in Tomb Raider 1
I always wanted to ask Paul, but never did. What's the thing with the shadow hack that Glidos can fix ? I asked recently the authors of Dosbox (which via the Glide patch actually doesn't get to produce Lara's shadow) but they don't know much about it. My question is : is that a hack that really fixes a glitch in the original Voodoo Rush version (since "straightforward" software TR1 does have the shadow after all) ? |

Glidos v1.39 released
I've just released Glidos v1.39. This version, with the aid of Kevin Bracey's patched Tomb.exe, allows you to hear the entire set of sound tracks that appeared on the PS1 verion of Tomb raider. All you need to do is: 1) Install Glidos v1.39 or later. 2) Install Tomb Raider using the preconfigured archive of Tomb Raider for Glidos. |

Background music runs only partially
Hi, I couldn't find a hint for my problem on that forum so far so I ask now generally for some help (for Tomb Raider backed by Glidos). I recently downloaded the audio packs and installed them in the glidos file. At first all seemed to run smoothly with the dialogues in the entry sequence and the thrilling background music in level one. But after that the music has vanished – nothing more in level two and three apart from the basic sounds. |

I did download a trial version of Everest Ultimate Edition. But, as I suspected, the instructions seem to be directed at people who are "computerese-hip". Nowhere did I see anything that said (in PLAIN LAYMAN'S ENGLISH), "How To Test Your PC Memory" or "How To Tell If The Test Found Anything Wrong With Your PC Memory". |

Glidos and Orthos
Paul: I tried running TR1 through Glidos, with the Direct3d instead of OpenGL. The game itself seems to work just about as well through there. However, I also tried running Orthos while doing this. The same thing happened as before. After several minutes my pc started beeping intermittently. When I left TR1 to check it, the Orthos had stopped again and was showing all red with errors. |

Glidos 1.38 and AMD
My processor is an AMD Athlon xp 2000+ (1.66 GHz) and a compatible EPoX motherboard. Is Glidos 1.38 known to have problems with either of these pieces of hardware? The pc keeps crashing a lot when I'm using the Glidos server. Also: My sound card is a Creative Soundblaster Live series card (Live 100, I think). Video card is an nVidia GeForce 6600 (has built-in 256MB RAM). I think this card is a 32-bit. I'm not sure. Also have a 1.0GB stick of RAM. |

nVidia Graphics Card Drivers
I heard somewhere that you should only download nVidia graphics card drivers directly from nVidia, and not from Microsoft. Because a lot of the newer games require OpenGL support and Microsoft drivers don't support OpenGL. Is this true? |

Screen resolution
I'm trying to learn how to use the Glidos 1.38 server to run TombRaider I. I'm using a KDS monitor, 17" ( about 15.5" actual screen). Is there any particular screen resolution on the Glidos server that seems to work best for this? |

New versions of Glidos and VDos32
I've just released new versions of Glidos and VDos32. The main difference is improved support for Tomb Rainder I on 32bit Vista. The FMVs now play full screen and the background music doesn't continue through the FMVs. Also VDos32 now supports Descent II. |

TombRaider 1 Gold
I've installed Glidos v1.36 and VDMSound v2.1.0, (three times, three different installation routines); at Lara's home and at the first level of the game, the background segments, (wall panels, floor/ground sections), are distorted, appear to be reflecting some other surface and rotate as the camera angle changes. Also, inside Lara's home and at the menu ring , the Glidos logo is present. |

trouble getting TR1/TRUB to start
Originally from: Gary Mitchell I'm having a problem running TR1 and TRUB under Glidos, they won't start. At first Glidos complained that I had the wrong versions of TR and TRUB, but I copied over the versions that it likes. Now a DOS window opens up showing that DOS4GW has started, but then it just sits there…nothing after that. It's almost as if it locks up. |

Blood MIDI Music Works.
Originally from: Drathian777 I don't know if any of you know this already but I thought I'd share something I did a long time ago. If you make a simple batch file in the main blood directory and link to it in the glidos.ini…. *that does the below*, you will have midi music instead of just relying on the music cd, which is nice too, but I like the midi arrangements better on most of the songs. Open up a new text document and type: 3DFX. |
