Talk about deja vu all over again......
I've just rebuilt my computer, and reinstalled glidos, vdm sound etc. tombraider runs fine using the tr1 advanced installer when not using glidos, but when I use Glidos I get "read error" after the initial start. This happened to me before, but I have no recollection of what I did to fix it. System: intel 6850 dual core. 2G 800MHz memory, XP with all latest updates, HD2600 XT video card, dual CD roms. 22" HDMI monitor. Game installed in rom D. rom E with or without CD- same result.

Make sure you have the latest video drivers, directly from ATI's web site, rather than from Windows update (otherwise you have no accelerated OpenGL support.

Or change Glidos's config to use Direct3D.

Thanks Paul. Everything seems to be working now- even the mp3 audio (all of a sudden, goodness knows why).
