have you tried re-installing Directx? Since it has become apparent that the TR2 problems have nothing to do with Glidos, I've created a new space at this site called Tomb Raider II to discuss problems with TR2 (and possibly TR3). I don't know which Tomb Raider was first to be really compatible with Windows XP.
